Team GBR Squad for the St. Gallen Furusiyya FEI 5* Nations Cup Announced

Di Lampard, the World Class Showjumping Performance Manager has today announced her squad of five that will be travelling to St. Gallen, Switzerland for the fourth leg of this year’s Europe Division One CSIO 5* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup competitions.

Competition at the Longines CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen Show will commence on Thursday 4th June before drawing to a close on Sunday 7th June. The Nations Cup scheduled to take place on Friday 5th June at 15:00 hours local time and the Grand Prix will take place on the Sunday at 12.15pm local time. 

The squad selected is as follows:

Joe Davison, from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire with Calimero Van’t Roth, a 13 year-old bay gelding owned by Team Harmony
    
Holly Gillott, a World Class Development Programme rider from Loughborough, Leicestershire with her own 10 year-old liver chestnut gelding Dougie Douglas.

Jessica Mendoza, another World Class Development Programme rider from Chippenham, Wiltshire with the 14 year-old British bred brown mare Spirit T owned by Sarah Mendoza. 

Spencer Roe, who is also a World Class Development Programme rider from Lincolnshire with the 12 year-old bay gelding Wonder Why owned by Sally Roe

Robert Whitaker, from Sidcup, Kent with 12 year-old bay gelding Catwalk IV owned by Mandy Hall

The British Showjumping Teams are supported by the UK Sport National Lottery funded World Class Programme.

The World Class Development Programme underpins World Class Performance and, together with the Equine Pathway, they comprise the Equestrian World Class Programme, incorporating the three Olympic sports of dressage, eventing, showjumping and the Paralympic sport of para-equestrian dressage.  The Programme has been funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, through Exchequer and National Lottery funds, via UK Sport since 1998.
