Amateur Status. As per British Showjumping rule book.
Teams. Each Team must consist of a rider at 80cms, 90cms, 1m, 1.10m. Each country can have up to 3 teams representing them as decreed by the qualifiers.
Competition Rules. Having previously drawn the order for the teams to compete in, the competition would start with a Parade of all teams, ideally with their Chefs holding the National Flags etc.
With the course set at 80cms, all riders walk the course.
Then, the 80cms rider from each team would complete their first rounds. The course would then be
raised to 90cms, where those riders would complete their first rounds. The course would then be raised to 1m, where the 1m riders would complete their 1st round. And lastly the 1.10m riders would complete in their first round. Then the course would be put down to 5cms higher than the first rounds for each height to complete their 2nd rounds.
Each team would be allowed one drop score, so the best 3 riders from each team would be calculated for the first and second rounds. A different rider could be dropped for each round if required.
Each country would then have a total number of faults for the two rounds. If there was a tie in scores, the 1.10m riders would then compete in a jump-off.
Chef d’Equipe. Each National team will require a Chef d’Equipe. Chefs would be selected by all team members & will represent all the teams from their country. The responsibilities of the Chef d’Equipe will include the following:
?? Ensuring that a full team is present to represent their Nation at the International Event;
?? Liaising with the Show Organizers before, during and after the events on matters arising.
?? Liaising with the Show Organizers with names of riders in each team & names of teams.
?? Attending a Chef D’Equipes meeting with the show organizers at a meeting on Saturday at a time & place to be agreed Wildcards. Where there are rules there are exceptions. If a Nation is unable to field a full team, they may select riders not already selected from other Nations, if all the other Chef d’equipes agree.
