Oliver Fletcher crowned the 2018 National under 21 Champion

In the Porsche Centre Solihull Championship Arena 2, Oliver Fletcher rode as determined as ever to take the highly-sought after National under 21 Champion title, adding to his National under 16 title which he had just been awarded in the class before. With his brother William Fletcher having won the National under 21 title here last year riding Everytime Anywhere B, the sibling rivalry put pressure on the 15 year old showjumper to bring it home once again for team Fletcher.

Riding Temple Rebus, Oliver was one of six riders in the jump off and as the last one to go, they saved the best until last. Oliver went into the jump off knowing Jodie Hall-McAteer had already secured a good time so he knew he needed a fast yet clear round. He commented after his win: “I am extremely pleased with his performance today; he is just simply incredible. We have owned him for nearly three years now and after a bit of time off he has come back better than ever!”
