Tina is flying high on Promised Land

Oxfordshire based Tina Fletcher today took the top spot in the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway which took place at the South of England County Show.

With seven combinations making it through to the jump off and Tina being drawn first to go, she knew she had to give it her all and put her foot on the accelerator pedal right from the word go. This is exactly what she did and managed to put in a foot perfect clear in a time of 44.31 seconds, which proved to be unbeatable. Tina partnered her husbands (Graham) sixteen year old brown gelding, Promised Land a horse that partnered her in the 2010 Hickstead Derby where they came second.

Tina commented “I am so delighted, this is our first proper show of the year and to come out and win is unbelievable, I am so very pleased with him. He is such a talented horse with a huge stride which I knew I could use to my advantage. The next show I will be targeting is the Hickstead Derby”.

Phillip Miller from Bedfordshire narrowly missed out on first place jumping clear in a time of 44.63 seconds, fractions slower than Tina. Phillip partnered Di & Pennie Cornish’s ten year old bay stallion Univeau.
