TIMOTHY WILKS TAKES TOP PLACES AT HAND

Fifteen year old Timothy Wilks from Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire jumped into first and second place held at The Hand Equestrian Centre in the John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic. The championship final will be at the British Open held at NEC, Birmingham in April.
Tim rode Duncan Inglis’ ten year old grey gelding, Maradonna into first place with three clear rounds in a time of 39.55 seconds. His second place ride was the distinctive twelve year old coloured gelding The Colour of Money owned by Tim’s mother, Caroline Wilks. The pair jumped three clear rounds in a time of 42.09 seconds. Third place went to Harriet King from Southampton, Hampshire riding Steph King’s thirteen year old bay mare, Frere Jaques. Harriet had eight faults in the jump off in a time of 41.66 seconds.
