Stacey and Waldemar take the top spot in the Horse & Hound Foxhunter Masters

The 2010 Horse & Hound Foxhunter Masters took place yesterday at the Cusionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival. With only 4 qualifying places left on offer for the 2010 Horse & Hound Foxhunter Championship held at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), competitors battled it out over 2 rounds for their place.
 
It was 23 year old Stacey Babes from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire riding George Babes 7 year old bay gelding, Waldemar who came out on top taking first place. The pair jumped a double clear in jump off time of 35.12 seconds
 
Second place went to Cheshire based Anthony Condon riding the 7 year old dark bay mare Wild Thing, who is jointly owned by Rachel Steels, John Steels and Billy Twomey. This partnership jumped 2 foot perfect rounds in a jump off time of 35.80 seconds.
 
Surrey based Damien Charles and Andy Rothery’s Mid Summer Nights Dream jumped the last double clear of the competition in a jump off time of 40.73 seconds to take third place.
 
The 4 to qualify for HOYS were Trevor Nicholson riding Serial K, Reece Oliver riding Veroniek II, Eleni Murphy riding Del Fuego and Anthony Condon riding Molly Mallone V.

8th Eleni Murphy riding Del Fuego – 2 in 78.26 seconds – Qualified
9th Nicole Pavitt riding Abeer – 4 in 69.45 seconds
10th Anthony Condon riding Molly Mallone V – 4 in 70.54 seconds– Qualified
