February's Performance Award: TORINTO VAN DE MIDDELSTEDE & GUY WILLIAMS
Monday 15 March 2010

Torinto van de Middelstede’s double clear in the Abu Dhabi Nations Cup at the beginning of February has been voted ‘Performance of the Month’ for February.
The fourteen year-old bay gelding, owned by his rider Guy Williams, produced two foot perfect rounds to help secure victory for Great Britain in the Nations Cup.
The new Performance of the Month Award is an amalgamation of the former Showjumper and Owner of the Month Awards, and recognises the achievements of not just our riders, but our horses and owners too.
Chairman of Performance Development at British Showjumping, Clare Whitaker commented:
“We are delighted to announce the amalgamation of the Show Jumper and Owner of the Month Awards, into one monthly Award; Performance of the Month’. The new award will not only recognise the fantastic achievements of our international riders, but also our international horses and their owners, without which none of it would be possible.
It gives me great pleasure to award the February Performance of the Month to Torinto van de Middelstede and Guy Williams, for their incredible double clear round in the Abu Dhabi Nations Cup. My congratulations go to them and their hard working Team”.
Patrick Riley of Zamar TTT, sponsors of the International Performance Award said:
“This Award was formed to recognise the success of both the owners and riders in British Showjumping. This time the Award goes to Guy Williams, owner and rider of Torinto van de Middelstede, who are a winning combination.“
Zamar very generously assisted the GBR Team in Abu Dhabi by supplying a machine for use during the show.
