RIDER

Kirsty Pearce (80748) - Total number of votes: 100

Proposed by Jon Hyams (111975)  Seconded by Emma Salway (123318)

Resume: Having been a member of BS for over 30 years I have gained experience at all levels of junior and senior show jumping.   I am currently competing from Novice to Grand Prix with horses and so have an understanding of what is needed to help with our sport.  One guideline does not suit everybody and so we need to cater separately for the likes of the weekend rider juggling education/work with what they love as they are the backbone of the sport and the thriving professional rider looking to be our next Olympian as they will promote the commercial interest to a wider audience.  Show jumping should be enjoyable for all of us and I feel that I can help to try and achieve this, I attend many shows each year within our region so I will always be available for you to approach to discuss anything first-hand.

Paul Urch (13603) - Total number of votes: 97

Proposed by Helen Gallop (16926)   Seconded by Pierre Baber (12751)

Resume:  I am sure a number of you will already be aware of me, but for those of you who don't here's a quick resume. I have been a member of BS for 34 years and have competed at pony, young rider and senior level. I served on the Avon & Somerset area committee for ten years, helping to bring the area funds into a healthy balance! I am still a competitor (having just returned from the national amateur finals) a course builder and a judge. I was instrumental in bringing BS jumping back to Badgworth Arena after an absence of many years. On top of that I have encouraged a number of venues within the south west to stage BS shows and have assisted them in the running until they became established. I am excited by this new BS structure and believe if we all pull together we can improve showjumping for all levels which would surely benefit everyone.
