Pony riders on form in Paris

Hannah Barker, with the 15 year-old gelding Ammanvalley Santino posted a superb double clear in the 1.30m Lami-Cell Pony Masters at the Longines Masters of Paris show this evening to finish in 2nd place behind home rider Jeanne Hirel (FRA) with Vedouz de Nestin. Jeanne’s clear in a time of 32.67 was enough to give her the lead ahead of Hannah who stopped the clock in 36.82 seconds. 3rd place went to Romane Orhant (FRA) with Quabar des Monceaux, the only other rider to post a double clear who’s time was 38.89 seconds.
Claudia Moore with Elando van de Roshoeve finished in 5th place having picked up 4 penalties in the jump off following her clear in the first round. Shaunie Grieg with Casino Royal sat just behind her in the line up in 6th place having picked up 11 penalties in the jump off and again, having jumped clear in the first round.
Yesterday had seen Shaunie finish in 3rd place in the Lami-Cell Pony Masters speed class with a clear in a time of 53.88 seconds. The win had gone to John McEntee (IRL) and Carrickaduff Pet with 2nd going to Pam Nieuwenhuis (NED) and Zeppe van de Ljsseldijk. Hannah had finished 7th whilst Claudia took 11th.
