International Grand Prix round up

Great Britain are once again topping the leader boards. Last week saw Peter Charles from Alton, Hampshire take the win in the CSI2* Oliva III €23,000 Grand Prix in Spain. Peter partnered Murka’s Odie de Frevent, a 10 year old bay mare jointly owned by Olga White and Team Murka Ltd. The pair jumped a double clear in a time of 48.16 seconds.
Also in Spain contesting the Sunshine Tour were a number of other British riders. Dominating the results Britain took four of the top eight positions in the Grand Prix. The highest placed was Guy Williams from Canterbury, Kent taking 2nd place. Guy partnered Depardieu Vant Kiezelhof a horse he has high hopes for. Owned by Lindsay Doran the 9 year old grey gelding jumped a double clear in a time 52.78 seconds. 3rd place went to Suffolk based Tim Davies riding Barrett Watson’ s 10 year old bay gelding Valentijn O the pair jumped a double clear in a time of 54.33 seconds.
William Funnell and Robert Bevis were also in the prize money. William took 6th place riding the British Bred 9 year old chestnut gelding Billy Angelo owned by Julie Slade. Robert took 7th place riding Kate Mustill’s 11 year old grey gelding Courtney 6.
Dan Neilson from Brentwood, Essex was in Germany taking part in the CSI3* Bremen. Dan partnering Celia Mason’s 10 year old liver chestnut gelding Varo M took 3rd in the Bremen Grand Prix jumping clear in a time of 65.85 seconds.
