Scott Brash claims St Tropez CSI 4* Grand Prix

An outstanding jump-off performance from Scott Brash and the 11 year-old bay gelding Hello Jefferson owned by Lady Kirkham and Lady Harris saw them win the €85k Grand Prix in St Tropez, France earlier this afternoon.

The sole British representative in the Grand Prix he produced the fastest of the only four double clears that were achieved in the 1.55m competition that had seen forty-six starters come forward. The course certainly asked a lot of questions catching many out in the first round in which just eight had managed to come through the finish line on zero penalties to qualify for the second.

It was Scott with the extremely talented and scopey Hello Jefferson that stood head and shoulders above the rest to claim the victory and secure the lion's share of the prize money on offer. They delivered their double clear in 40.15 seconds. In 2nd place was Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) with Chalou who stopped the clock a fraction slower in 40.53 seconds but ahead of Simon Delestre (FRA) and Chesall Zimequest who took 3rd.
