Paul Barker & Samuel Hutton qualify for HOYS

Competition was fierce at Arena UK this week as it played host to the last qualifying competition for British riders to battle it out for the opportunity to compete in the International classes, at the forthcoming Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), which will be staged at Birmingham’s NEC from 6th – 10th October 2010. Against stiff opposition, the two Arena UK wildcard qualification places were awarded to Paul Barker from Northallerton, Yorkshire and Samuel Hutton fromUpham, Hampshire.

As well as the ten1 British riders who have already been invited to compete at the world’s most famous horse show, an additional four places were available from qualifiers held at Rowallan Activity Centre (9th – 12th September) and Arena UK (23rd – 26th September). Paul and Samuel will be joining Jemma Kirk and Jo Pay and who have already won their wildcard places at Rowallan.

The International classes commence on Thursday 7th October and finish with the prestigious HOYS Leading Show Jumper of the Year Grand Prix, which takes place during Sunday’s Gala Night performance.

HOYS is selling out fast but there are limited seats still available on certain performances. To book, call the NEC Box Office on: 0844 581 8282 or visit www.hoys.co.uk.
