Faye Adams and Demograaf win the National Winter 1.35m Championship
Friday 07 August 2020
Faye Adams made her journey from Halesowen in the West Midlands a worthwhile one today when she won the National Winter 1.35m Championship at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships at Bolesworth. The Championship, sponsored by Higher Silcock Stables, was a hotly contested one and it eventually came down to a four way jump off.
Faye took the Championship title on board her own 12 year-old dark brown gelding Demograaf who ate up the ground in the jump off.
Having seen Robert Murphy and High Quality III set the jump off standard just before them with a double clear in 39.45 seconds, Faye ensured that she rode Demograaf on a forward stride whilst capitalising on all of the shortcuts available. When the clock stopped on 38.97 seconds with all fences still standing, Faye was full of praise for her ride and looked deservedly pleased.
Robert and High Quality III finished in eventual second place with Yazmin Davis taking third on Zanbowa Z after producing a double clear in 40.28 seconds.
The NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships take place between the 3 – 11 August 2020 and further information on the show can be found here https://bit.ly/3a4cy2Q and results from all classes here https://bit.ly/2Xzma0M
