Applications are now open for the BEF Young Professionals programme

Are you looking to take the next step in your equestrian career? Are you lacking confidence in conflict management, putting together contracts or understanding employment law? Whether you already have your own business or are looking to start one in the future, the BEF Young Professionals programme is for you.

Run in collaboration with British Dressage, British Eventing and British Showjumping, the cross-discipline programme has been designed to equip you with the key skills you need to grow your business and make it a success. Funded by Sport England, it’s intended to support young athletes moving out of the talent pathway into the wider equestrian sport network.

The 12-month programme is delivered as eight core sessions given by industry experts, and includes topics such as insurance and finances, communication skills and building your personal brand. By the end of the sessions, the aim is that you’ll have a broader skill-set that’s tailored to give you the confidence to thrive and earn a living in the equine industry.

Applications for the 2019–20 programme are now OPEN. Click here to view the full criteria and complete your application.

If you have any questions about the programme or application process, please contact Georgie Wheeler - georgie.wheeler@bef.co.uk or 02476 698904.
