SCHEDULE WORDING FOR SENIOR COMPETITIONS

The value of the first cash prize must not exceed more than one third of the total prize fund, the last cash prize listed must not be less than the entry fee (Non Members of the venue entry fee or pre-entry fee).

As of 1st April, Rule 76.3 was amended to read: ‘The value of the first cash prize must not exceed one third of the total cash prize money and must not be less than £15. An acceptable balance of prize distribution must be presented in the schedule; third prize should be no less than half of the allocated first prize scheduled’. 

 

Senior qualifying classes

KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship – First Round

Rule 316.Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase .Speed 325mpm

Entry Qualifications:

For Registered Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 Points to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6

In Category One Shows - a 90cm Open may be run concurrently with the British Novice, in the event of 30 or more starters, the class will be split and two sets of prize money will be awarded. Horses may only compete in one section.

In Category Two Shows - a 90cm Open may be run concurrently with the British Novice, however two sets of prize money must always be awarded. Horses may only compete in one section.

Qualification Period 1st May - 30 April

 

Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship - First Round

Rule 314. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase. Speed 325mpm

Entry Qualifications: 

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6                                                                                                                      

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1st January 2011 (for competitions held in 2016) irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Nupafeeds Supplements Senior Discovery Final - in accordance with rule 314.6   Four double clears will qualify.               

In Category One Shows - a 1.00m Open may be run concurrently with the Nupafeeds Supplements Discovery competition, however in the event of 30 or more starters, the class will be split and two sets of prize money will be awarded. Horses may only compete in one section.

In Category Two Shows - a 1.00m Open may be run concurrently with the Nupafeeds Supplements Discovery competition, however two sets of prize money must always be awarded. Horses may only compete in one section.

Qualification Period 1st May - 30 April

 

Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers – First Round                               

Rule 312.Table A7. Speed 325mpm.

Entry qualifications:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 312.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1st January 2010 (for competitions held in 2016) irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Final - in accordance with rule 312.6 Four double clears to qualify.

Qualification period 1June – 31 May.

(A Senior 1.10m Open may run concurrently with a Newcomers competition.  In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded.  Horses may only compete in one section.)

 

National 1.15m Members Cup - Championship Qualifier

Rule 294. Table: A7, Two phase or Single Phase. Speed 350mpm.

Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members who are not listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2015.

Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships. Four double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.

Qualification period 1st June - 31st May

Shows to make their own arrangements for sponsorship

Minimum first prize £50. Maximum first prize £100.

 

Senior Foxhunter – First Round                                                       

Rule 310.Table A7.Speed: 350mpm  

Entry qualifications:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1st January 2009 (for competitions held in 2016)  irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Senior Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Qualification period 1June – 31 May.

(A Senior 1.20m Open may be combined with a Foxhunter competition. In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded.  Horses may only compete in one section. Alternatively  a Grade C may be combined with a Foxhunter competition and one set of prize money will be awarded)

For registered horses in Grades A & B to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members, 
The best five scores, or, all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round, which will be against the clock. In the event of equality, faults and time will decide i.e. the faster four faulters will qualify. All scores in the first round will be carried forward to the second round. Competitors in the second round will start in reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulter will go first, the faster clear last. If necessary those who do not reach the second round, faults and time in the first round will determine their placings. If a competitor withdraws from the second round he/she will not be replaced and he/she will receive placing from the first round, however he/she will be placed after those who compete in the second round.

For registered horses in Grades A & B to be ridden by adult, associate or Junior Members. 
The best five scores, or, all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round, which will be against the clock. In the event of equality, faults and time will decide i.e. the faster four faulters will qualify. All scores in the first round will be carried forward to the second round. Competitors in the second round will start in reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulter will go first, the faster clear last. In the event of 15 or more starters class will be split.

In the event of 30 or more starters class will be split. Ponies may compete in one section only.
The Open Section is open to all; however those ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomer Section, ridden by Junior Members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship.

Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible for the Restricted Rider competition.

Four double clears (subject to revision) to qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination..

Rule 404     Table A7      Speed 325mpm

In the event of 30 or more starters class will be split. Ponies may compete in one section only.  The Open Section is open to all; however those ponies competing in the Open or the Foxhunter Section, who are ridden by junior Members who have not won a total of 350 Points in the 2013 calendar year (For competitions held after 30th April 2015 riders must not have won a total of 350 Points in the 2014 calendar year) are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship. 

Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible for the Restricted Rider competition.

Four double clears (Subject to revision) will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships.  Qualification is Pony / Rider combination.

Qualification period for 2016 final is 1st May 2015 - 30th April 2016

British Showjumping Pony National 1.15m Members Cup

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members. This competition is open to all, but for qualification purposes those pony/rider combinations that have been placed in a Winter JA Classic or Pony Show Jumper of the Year will not be eligible to compete in the final.

Qualifies for: The British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period (1 July – 30 June)

Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision). Qualification is pony/rider combination

Each show may make its own arrangements for sponsorship of prize money.

 

148cms (and under) Restricted Open

Table A8. Speed 325mpm. Height of fences 1.20m

For registered ponies not exceeding 148cms. Open to all but for qualification purposes those pony/rider combinations that have been placed in a Winter JA Classic or Pony Show Jumper of the Year qualifier will not be eligible to compete in the Final, to be held at the Welsh Home Pony to be held at Wales & West.

Numbers to qualify: Those combinations who jump double clear (clear in the first round and the first jump-off) (One Double Clear) in the qualifying period. 

Qualification period is 1st May - 30th April

 

 Winter 128cms Competition – First Round

Rule 514. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Height of fences 1.05m.

For registered ponies that have won 30 points or more not exceeding 128cms, ridden by Junior Members, age in accordance with Rule 77.13.  Pony riders are not eligible to compete in this competition before the calendar year in which their eighth birthday is reached.

Qualification period 14 September – 16 January. Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision)

Any affiliated show held between the third weekend in September and first weekend in January of the qualifying period may schedule this competition without prior allocation by the British Showjumping Office. The Winter 128cms and Winter 138cms First Rounds will run as a handicap competition in the event of 20 starter or more and two sets of prize money will have to be awarded.

 

Winter 138cms Competition – First Round

Rule 512. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Height of fences 1.10m.

For registered ponies that have won 30 Points or more, exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 138cms, ridden by Junior Members, age in accordance with Rule 77.12.  Junior riders are not eligible to compete in this competition before the calendar year in which their eighth birthday is reached.

Qualification period 14 September – 16 January. Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision)

Any affiliated show held between the third weekend in September and first weekend in January of the qualifying period may schedule this competition without prior allocation by the British Showjumping Office. The Winter 128cms and Winter 138cms First Rounds will run as a handicap competition in the event of 20 starter or more and two sets of prize money will have to be awarded.

 

Equidivine Stepping Stones 128cms/138cms Handicap Qualifier

Rule 414. Table A Two Rounds not against the clock. All equal first in Round one will go forward to Round Two over a shortened course. Speed 325mpm.

Height of fences: 128cms 75cms / 138cms 85cms 

For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with Rules 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all; however for the purpose of qualification, those riders up to the end of the calendar year in which the age of 10 is reached are eligible to enter irrespective of Points achieved. Riders aged 10 years and over on 1st January in the calendar year, must not have won a total of 350 Points in the 128cms Section and 700 Points in the 138cms Section. 128cms Ponies will not be permitted to enter the 138cms Section. Once a pony has qualified with any rider for RIHS or HOYS in the current year, then it is not eligible to compete in this competition or in the Final. 

Pony/Rider combinations in the Silver League and Gold League Riders are not eligible for the Stepping Stones Final.

Four double clears to qualify for the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is Pony/Rider Combination

Qualification period 1st January - 30th June.

Minimum 1st Prize £25     In the event of equality prize money is divided.



Springboard 128cms/138cms Restricted Handicap

Rule 415. Table A Two Rounds not against the clock. All equal first in Round one will go forward to Round Two over a shortened course. Speed 325mpm. Height of fences: 128cms 90cms / 138cms 1.00m

For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with Rule 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all but for qualification purposes: In the 128cms Section Junior riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of Points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 10 years is reached. Riders who reach the age of 10 years and over in the current calendar year must not have won a total of 500 Points.

In the 138cms Section, Pony riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of Points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 12 is reached. Riders who reach the age 12 years and over in the current calendar year must not have won a total of 850 Points. Junior Riders are not eligible to enter the 138cms section until the calendar  year in which their 8th birthday is reached.  128cms Ponies are not permitted to enter the 138cms section.

Once riders have competed at, or have ‘ever’ qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final.

Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in this competition.

Two double clears to qualify for the Final. Qualification is Pony/Rider Combination. Ponies must go clear in both rounds of this competition in order to gain a double clear qualification.  In order to compete in the final, all qualified competitors’ ages must be in accordance with rule 77.12 / 77.13 in the year of the final and riders must not be listed on a British Showjumping Gold League assigned for the qualification period.

Qualification period 1st August – 31st January

Minimum 1st Prize £25      In the event of equality prize money is divided.

 


10 Years and Under (Fences not to exceed 0.90cms in the first round).

Rule 289A. Table: A, over two rounds, not against the clock. All double clear rounds to share equal first place. Speed: 325m.

 (a) For registered ponies not exceeding 128cms to be ridden by Junior Members born on or after 1 January 2006 (For 2016).

 (b) For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms to be ridden by Junior Members born on or after 1 January 2006 (For 2016).

Total prize money may not exceed £75.

 

11 Years and Under (Fences not to exceed 0.90cms in the first round)

Rule 289B. Table: A, over two rounds, not against the clock. All double clear rounds to share equal first place. Speed: 325m.

 (a) For registered ponies not exceeding 128cms to be ridden by Junior Members born on or after 1 January 2005 (For 2016).

 (b) For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms to be ridden by Junior Members born on or after 1 January 2005 (For 2016).

Total prize money may not exceed £75.

 

128cms/138cms Handicap

Rule 284.Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase. Speed 325mpm

For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms ridden by Junior Members. Ages in accordance with Rules 77.12 & 77.13.

Height of fences should be different for 128cms and 138cms ponies.

 

JD/JC Handicap

Rule 284.Table A7, A4, Two Phase, or Single Phase. Speed 325mpm

For registered ponies in Grade JD & Grade JC, ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with Rule 77.12/77.13
