23rd March 2015 held at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre, Warwickshire

1.1 Minutes of the Last Meeting
HR started the AGM by thanking everyone for attending.  The minutes of the last AGM were reported and signed off as being correct. 
2.1 Overview of Last Year
HR gave an overview of the year.  The Area has run training events for both JA and SA and the majority of sessions have covered costs.  There is a small group of regular JA members who have attended training sessions with Rebecca Dearden over the winter at Solihull and at Rio Grande with Marie Edgar.  A training session has also been arranged for Thursday 26th March at Weston Lawns with Marie Edgar before the JA show at Allens Hill on the 2nd April.  Junior Academy riders have had a number of wins at the Bury Farm Junior Academy show and the Area will be putting a team forward for the Junior Academy show at Allens Hill on the 2nd April.  However the Area will not be able to cover the costs of the entries for the Area team however if training sessions make more profit this may be possible in the future.  At this time the Area would only be expecting to pay for team entries at the Summer Junior show held at Weston Lawns in August.  The Area have purchased Junior Academy numnahs for the attendees to borrow for the shows and return afterwards and baseball caps for all riders who have attended two or more training sessions.  Last year the Area put Senior teams forward at the Wales and West and Arena UK Qualifiers.  Unfortunatley the teams were not lucky enough to qualify for the finals, however the Area will be putting forward teams again this year and the Area will again pay for the teams entries.

3.1 Financials
Finances up to the 1st January were showing a £100 profit.  The ball made a small profit of £892 and this profit will be split across the Area account and the Junior Academy account.  As the finances have stayed roughly the same, the Area have been able to self fund all the activities the Area has run and any purchases made. 

4.1 Communication
The Area 30 Facebook and BS webpage are regularly updated and work well as a communication tool for both the Area committee and the members as HR is unable to send out emails to all members.  The Area 30 BS webpage will be updated more regularly to reflect the Facebook page and will also be updated with the coaches for the area, the contact details for various members of the committee and much more useful information.  There will also be more links between the two sites to encourage more traffic on both sites. 

5.1 AOB
HR expressed that more help was needed from the members for running JA and Senior training and at shows where teams have been entered and also to join the Area 30 committee. CC-W expressed and interest and HR will explain more about what would be involved.
JH will send out an email to all JA riders and parents who have given their email addresses to see if any parents would be interested in helping out and being responsible for the teams and collecting entry monies.
PN will send out an email to all members in Area 30 to ask for volunteers to join the committee.
ME also asked for any comments to be taken forward to the Members council by Liz Edgar on Tuesday 24th March.  PN mentioned that there were election spaces on the Members council and HW was interested and would be an election space for centres.
