Welsh Home Pony Training

Saturday 02 June 2018

The second wave of Team Wales Home Pony training took place during the half term break at Wales & West Event Centre and Southview Equestrian Centre all organised and ran by Wales’ Chef D’Equipe, Carian Scudamore

Prooving very popular with all available spaces filled seeing pony riders from the age of 7 to 16 of variying experience but giving 100% enthusiasm.

As well as having a full one hour jumping lesson with a UKCC Level 3 coach, they also experienced team building sessions, which prooved very popular and it soon became very clear that Wales has many, many team members working together with a common goal - to win! They also had sessions with an Equine physiotherapist and an opportunity to try Equi pilates.

Once all the workshops had been completed they went on to a course walk with their coach of the day around a course built by a Level 3 course builder with a Nations Cup Team class in mind.

This was followed by a Nations Cup format jumping session.

New friends were made, new goals set, many questions asked and answered smiles all round. A special thank you to Wales & the West for the generous donation of their fabulous facilities for the day.
