BETHAN EVANS BECOMES THE YOUNGEST RIDER IN WALES TO RECEIVE THE NAF BRITISH SHOWJUMPING FIVE STAR PERFORMANCE AWARD
Wednesday 16 March 2011

Bethan Evans, age 19 from Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, is currently studying at the University of Glamorgan and has had a passion for horses and Showjumping since an early age. She started her competitive career showing ponies and with working hunters, which she freely admits to hating, so moved over to Showjumping and quickly began progressing through the ranks with her ponies. Now competing on horses at the 1.25m and 1.30m level has found that the training and education that the Five Star Programme has given her has made a huge difference and feels she wouldn’t be competing at the level she is today with this training.
Bethan says ‘if it wasn’t for my Mum or Dad I wouldn't have been able to have done any of this, and thanks her Mum an accomplished horsewoman herself for introducing her to the sport!!’
Mia Korenika, Bethan’s Five Star and Junior Academy Coach says ‘Bethan has worked really hard to progress through the levels of the 5 star performance award. She’s now reaping the rewards of improving her skills and is applying what she’s learned in training to competitions and getting really good and consistent results. She can use this knowledge to continue to produce her horses correctly and gain more successes in the ring and for the long term. Bethan is a delight to work with, very trainable and a fantastic example of the results our training structure produces.. Congratulations Beth, I’m a very proud Coach!’
The NAF British Showjumping Five Star Performance Awards Programme delivers comprehensive training and a positive structure.
