Somerset’s The Kings of Wessex Academy are topping the ‘Just For Schools’ Leagues

The Kings of Wessex Academy from Cheddar, Somerset are dominating the 1.10m and 1m British Showjumping ‘Just for Schools’ Team Leagues. Looking to repeat last year’s success and retain the title of Champions they are leading by 63pts in the 1.10m (Kings of Wessex Blue Team) and by 46pts in the 1m (Kings of Wessex Black Team).

Having had a fantastic time at the Winter League Finals winning the 70cm, 90cm, 1m and 1.10m team finals the school also had an individual win with Katie Thomas riding Zorba IV in the 1.10m. Team Manager Mr Robert Thomas and the riders; Katie Thomas, Sam Fountain, Alice Sandiford, Emily Mugford, Iona Impey, Hamish Clark, Hattie Newton and Florence Human; are well positioned for the British Showjumping National Championships; at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire (8th – 13th August 2017).
