Sammie Coffin Victorious at South View

Thursday 20 January 2011

Last weekend saw South View Equestrian Centre play host to the fourth Development Classic Show. With Championship qualifies taking place throughout weekend course designer Peter Gillespie knew he had to build some testing courses.
Congratulations to Cornwall based Sammie Coffin who took first place in the British Showjumping Business Partnership Winter Novice which took place on the Saturday. With twenty combinations making it through to the jump off Sammie had a tough task on her hands, however being drawn near the bottom she had a slight advantage. Sammie partnered Zabantos a seven year old bay stallion owned by James Luker’s. The pair jumped a fantastic clear round in a time of 33.50 seconds nearly two seconds faster than second placed Emily Smith. Emily was drawn sixth to go in the jump off and jumped a faultless round in a jump off time of 35.02 seconds. Emily rode her own ten year old bay mare Utopia X.
