South East Riders Qualify for HOYS!
Monday 01 September 2014
We have 3 riders who have qualified from the Bronze and Silver Leagues to ride at the final at Horse of the Year Show. The semi-finals were held on 8-10th August at Keysoe Equestrian Centre for the South region.
Bronze league
Charlotte Walker riding Liath Capall from east Sussex qualified in 3rd place. We have spoken to Charlotte about how she feels about competing at HOYS “I'm so excited to be given the chance to compete at hoys. I owe it all to my horse Liath Capall who has been so good to me this year. It's been a lifetime ambition to qualify hoys. I've enjoyed the pathway leading to the semi-finals it's been a fantastic experience this year for myself and Liath Capall (Stanley)”
Leah McCrady riding Ryans Hollie from Berkshire qualified in 4th place. Leah has also told us about how she feels about qualifying in the Bronze league."I can’t believe I have qualified for hoys absolutely over the moon about it. I have had such a good time jumping in the bronze league at getting points for the league table and competing at both the quarter and semi-finals! Can't wait for October to come"
Silver League
Julian Mincher riding Dolanda from Kent qualified in 6th place for the Silver League.
All three riders will be representing the South East region at HOYS, which is at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. They will all be competing on the morning of Wednesday 8th October in the main arena (Andrews Bowen International Arena).
