Class 1 - Indoor International Arena - Pony Intro 70cm Open

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 70cm.

For registered ponies in Grades: JA, JC & JD to be ridden by junior members. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Class 2 - Indoor International Arena - Pony British Novice Championship - First Round /80cm Open

Rule 410. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 80cm.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

British Novice:

For registered ponies in Grade JD and JC that have not won a total of 150 Points to be ridden by Junior Members, ages as per Rule 77.12/77.13.

Qualifies for: Pony British Novice Championship Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Pony British Novice First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony British Novice First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

80cm Open:

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members.

In the event of 15 or more starters this class will be split with two sets of prize money. Ponies may enter one section only.

Open to registered ponies that have not won a total of 300 Points, to be ridden by Pony Members, riders ages competing on 128/138cms ponies must be in accordance with rules 77.12/77.13.

Numbers to qualify: One double clear. Dual qualification for the Pony Discovery.

Open to registered ponies exceeding 138cms but not exceeding 148cms irrespective of points, to be ridden by Junior Members, disregarding those riders on the 148cms Gold League List as of March 31st 2016 or any rider/pony combination having ever qualified for RIHS or HOYS on a 148cms.

Blue Chip Pony Newcomers is for registered Ponies in Grade JC & JD that have not won a total of 500 points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.First Rosette in the Pony Newcomers section sponsored by Blue Chip.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomers Section, ridden by Junior Members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.

Rule 404 & 417. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

Pony Foxhunter First Round is for ponies in Grades JD and JC that have not won a total of 700 Points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Pony Foxhunter Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Second Round irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Foxhunter Section, ridden by Junior members who have not more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar year are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is pony/rider combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m Final.

Prizes: 1st: £50.00, 2nd: £35.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £20.00, Total: £150.00

Class 7 - Indoor International Arena - Children & Young Riders on Horses - Handicap

Rule 518. Table A. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 90cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

For registered horses ridden by Junior members.

This class may be held at either Senior or Pony shows. The Final for this class would be direct entry at the British Showjumping National Championsips. Only those children who reach the age of 12 years, 13 years and 14 years on 1 January in the qualifying year will be eligible for Team Selection.

Height of fences: 90cm/1.00m & 1.10m/1.15m.

Prizes: 1st: £100.00, 2nd: £75.00, 3rd: £60.00, 4th: £40.00, 5th: £25.00, Total: £300.00

Class 8 - Indoor International Arena - Central Region Academy Junior 1.10m & 1.15m Open Handicap

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Heights 1.10m / 1.15m.

DAYS 2 - TEAM EVENTS

Team Competition Format

The day will consist of 5 team competitions with teams participating in each category.

The team competition will be run under Table A. All teams placed equal first on faults after 1 round, based on the best 3 of 4 scores in each team will go forward to a jump off. The jump off will consist of all team members with the best 3 of 4 scores based on faults and time been combined for the overall team result. Lower team placing will be based on combined faults and time over 2 rounds.

ALL TEAM MEMBERS WILL ALSO COMPETE AS INDIVIDUALS

 

The individual competition is also open to an additional 4 riders in each class per Academy. All team members will also compete as individuals. The competition will be run under Table A. All combinations placed equal first on faults will go forward to a jump off over a shorten course. Lower team placing will be based on faults and time in the first round.

Entry Fee per team: £60.00 or Per Individual £ 15.00

The Academy Team Competitions

Class 101a: Central Academy Mini Team Championship

 

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences will be 70cms. There will be no doubles or combinations in this class. Table A10 speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies are not to exceed 148cms. Eligible for Junior, JFS & Club members 16 yrs & Under. Pony and rider combinations are not to have competed in a National Final of 1.00 metre and above in any category from 2014.

Each pony will jump only one round.

 

Class 101b: Central Academy Mini Individual Championship

 

Each individual rider will jump only one round. Criteria as above.

 

Class 102a: Central Academy Maxi Team Championship

 

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences 90cms. Table A10 speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies are not to exceed 148cms. Eligible for Junior, JFS & Club members 16 yrs & Under.

Each pony will jump only one round.

 

Class 102b: Central Academy Maxi Individual Championship

Each individual rider will jump only one round. Criteria as above.

 

Class 103a: Central Academy Intermediate Team Championship

 

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences 105cms. Table A10 speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies are not to exceed 148cms. Eligible for Junior, JFS & Club members 16 yrs & Under.

Each pony will jump only one round.                     

 

Class 103b: Central Academy Intermediate Individual Championship

Each individual rider will jump only one round. Criteria as above.

 

 

 

Class 104a: Central Academy Children & Young Riders on Horses Introductory Team Championship

 

Each team will consist of 4 registered horses of any grade to be ridden by Junior, JFS, Club or full members who are 21 years or under. The height of the fences 90cm. Horse and rider combination not to have jumped 1.20 or above. Table A10 speed 325mpm

Each horse will jump only one round.

 

Class 104b: Central Academy Children & Young Riders on Horses Introductory Individual Championship

 

Each individual rider will jump only one round. Criteria as above.

 

Class 105a: Central Academy Children & Young Riders on Horses Advanced Team Championship

 

Each team will consist of 4 registered horses of any grade to be ridden by Junior, JFS, Club or full members who are 21 years or under. The height of the fences 115cms. Table A10 speed 325mpm

Each horse will jump only one round.

 

Class 105b: Central Academy Children & Young Riders on Horses Advanced Individual Championship.

 

Each individual rider will jump only one round. Criteria as above.

 

ALL WINNING TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE PRIZES IN KIND.

THE RULES

TEAM RULES;

  • EACH TEAM CONSISTS OF 4 REGISTERED PONIES OR 4 REGISTERED HORSES.
  • TEAM RIDERS ALL ALSO COMPETE AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE SAME CLASS.
  • THE BEST 3 of 4 SCORES ON EACH TEAM WILL COUNT TOWARDS A TEAM SCORE.
  • 3 PONIES OR HORSES MUST JUMP TO PRODUCE A TEAM SCORE.
  • IF ANY OF THE TEAMS ARE EQUAL ON FAULTS FOR 1st PLACE AFTER 1 ROUND OF JUMPING, THEN A JUMP OFF WILL TAKE PLACE OVER A SHORTENED COURSE. ALL 4 MEMBERS OF THE TEAM WILL JUMP AND THEIR TIMES ADDED TOGETHER, THE BEST 3 SCORES WILL COUNT IN THE JUMP OFF.
  • EACH ACADEMY SHOULD NOMINATE A POINT OF CONTACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE TEAM EVENT.
  • EACH ACADEMY WILL BE GUARANTEED 2 TEAM ENTRIES IN EACH TEAM CLASS, HOWEVER IF ENTRIES PERMIT EXTRA TEAMS MAY BE ENTERED. ACADEMYS ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT AS MANY ENTRIES AS POSSIBLE AND TEAMS WILL ONLY BE BALLOTED IF CLASSES ARE OVER SUBSCRIBED.
  • HORSES AND PONIES MAY ONLY COMPETE IN ONE TEAM IN EACH CLASS.
  • RIDERS MAY COMPETE IN MORE THAN ONE TEAM BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE ON DIFFERENT HORSES OR PONYS
  • SHOULD A SITUATION FOR SUBSTITUTION ARISE, AN INDIVIDUAL RIDER MAY BE SUBSTITUTED INTO A TEAM AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ORGANISERS.

 

INDIVIDUAL RULES:

  • EACH ACADEMY MAY ENTER  4 ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUALS IN EACH CLASS
  • THE INDIVIDUAL COMPETITON WILL BE RUN UNDER TABLE A.
  • TEAM RIDERS ALSO COMPETE AS INDIVIDUALS IN THE SAME CLASS.

 

 

 

GENERAL RULES:

  • CORRECT BRITISH SHOWJUMPING RIDING KIT MUST BE WORN WHEN COMPETING.
  • HARD HATS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.
  • RIDERS WILL BE CORRECTLY DRESSED WHEN WALKING THE COURSE.
  • ALL BRITISH SHOWJUMPING NATIONAL RULES WILL APPLY DURING THIS COMPETITON.
  • THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IN ALL MATTERS IS FINAL.
  • JUNIOR MEMBERS COMPETING ON PONIES AGES MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 77.13 & 77.14
  • CHILDREN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE ON HORSES BEFORE THE CALENDAR YEAR IN WHICH THE AGE OF 12 IS REACHED.
