Bronze & Silver League FAQ’s

Are Club Members eligible for Bronze or Silver League Points?
No, only National Members who are eligible to compete for National Championships

Will you still be recording our winnings?
Yes we will.  You will still have access to your winnings on your horse records.  We also need to ensure we keep a record of horses winnings as many of our classes have a prize winning criteria in terms of eligibility

Is there one national Bronze and Silver League?
No there are eight of them.  One Bronze and one silver league for each of the following regions:
Scotland, Northern, Wales, West Midlands, East Midlands, Eastern, South East and South West

So how do I know which Semi Final I am eligible for?
Each semi final will allocated four Bronze and four Silver Leagues.   The Northern Semi Final will take Scotland, Northern, Wales and West Midlands.  The South will take East Midlands, Eastern, South East and South West.

What is the cut-off date for qualifying for a Semi Final?
There are two ways to qualify.  Either by being in the Top 15 in your respective League  or by qualifying at one of the Semi Final Qualifiers of which there will be eight of them.  There are a few instances where qualification may go down the line on the League Table, these are if a person in the Top 15 has already qualified via a Semi Final Qualifier or if the horse is eligible for another Semi Final with a different rider and they have opted to decline the Semi Final for League Table you sit on.

The league points are going to be allocated from the 1st April through to the 30th June and the Semi Finals will be around the end of August or early September.

What if my first points that I get are for a 1.10m class?
You will default onto the Bronze League list and only move into Silver if you are placed or jump a double clear in a class of 1.15m – 1.30m.

Can my horse be on more than one League Table?
Yes, as it is horse/rider combination based so your horse could be on a list with a different rider or perhaps on the same list!  It is worth noting that your horse can only enter one Semi Final though.

Why is 1.10m in both categories:
By having 1.10m in both categories it can act as a stepping stone/progressive way for competitors to move through the competition structure.  It also allows for members to carry their 1.10m points into the Silver League should they decide to step up.

How do I know which Regional League I will sit in?
The Regional League that you sit within will be defined by the registered address that we hold for the Rider.

What if I move house?
If you move house before the Semi Final  cut off date, then you will just move onto a new League that covers your Region.  Should you move after the Semi Final date, you will go forward to the Semi Final allocated to the region in which received your invitation for.

Can I go to any of the Semi Final Qualifiers?
You are able to go to any of the four qualifiers that go to the Semi Final allocated to the League Table on which you sit.
