KINGSBARN ELITE SHOW 27TH - 30TH OCTOBER 2011

A PRIZE fund of £20,000 awaits Britain’s top equestrian showjumpers in anticipation of the thrilling Kingsbarn Elite Show, which takes place later this month, at Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre, near Falkirk, in the heart of Central Scotland.

The bustling four day annual showjumping event takes place for 2011 from Thursday, October 27, until Sunday, October 28, offering a wealth of competition and great entertainment for all. Doors are open so anyone can come and watch for free!

During the pinnacle of the Kingsbarn Elite event, competitors will fight it out on the Saturday night, over 1m45 fences, all vying to get their hands upon a share of the £6,000 prize pot offered by the event’s main attraction – the Kingsbarn Grand Prix. This year, the Grand Prix has been kindly sponsored by local supporters, Hannigan Hotels Ltd, from Falkirk. The winner of this class will walk away with a first prize of £2,000.

The HONDA Ride and Drive Road Runner Championship – a class which is new to the Kingsbarn Elite schedule for 2011 – is also sure to wow both spectators and competitors alike, providing unbeatable entertainment for the Friday evening.

In this class, competitors jump their horses over a course of 12 big show jumps, before leaping off their four-legged equine horse power to buckle up in one of Honda’s four-wheeled horse powered cars in order to navigate as quickly and accurately as possible around the pre-set course which weaves around the indoor arena. The rider with the quickest time, and fewest penalties, wins! This brilliant class is kindly sponsored by Perth Honda, The Triangle, Dunkeld Road, Perth, and it is certainly not to be missed!
