West Yorkshire Sport has launched a new coaching funding scheme

West Yorkshire Sport has launched a new funding scheme to encourage and support the personal and professional development of coaches and leaders working in West Yorkshire through subsidising the cost of National Governing Body qualifications.

Coaches or Sport Makers must be actively coaching or leading, or have activities planned. These will benefit local communities or support the development of sport specific player pathways (for example within a sports club, NGB pathway or sports development programme).

Funding is available to Coaches and Sport Makers to gain a Level 1 or 2 Coaching Qualification or a recognised NGB leadership award.  The scheme will fund up to 50% of the cost of qualifications (to a maximum of £100 for Level 1 Coach and NGB Leadership Awards, and up to £200 for Level 2 Coach Awards)

Full details of the scheme are available on the Coaching West Yorkshire website.
