South and West Yorkshire News

Despite the recent weather events within our area are continuing wherever possible. Sykehouse Arena held their first Amateur show of the season on 29 January which was well supported.  Attendances are up at the three venues in the area which is great news.   Ledston's new outdoor warm up is settling well and we are pleased to announce that at Moorhouse EC their new super indoor viewing arena and cafe will be open very shortly. Whilst the current adverse weather continues all three centres in the area are posting regular event updates on Facebook and on their individual websites and we would advise keeping safe and checking with venues before setting off.
 

Congratulations to junior riders Connie Warde-Aldam and Leonie Aitkenhead on their recent successes in the 128cm and 138cm.
 

We would like to highlight the Area Show on Easter Monday, 9 April 2012, to be held at Sykehouse Arena - we can't promise the early summer we had for last year's Easter Show but we can promise a great show at a great venue, with courses by David Cole.  The Schedule will be available shortly.
 

Back by popular demand - Friday 9 November 2012 a date for your diary, the South and West Yorkshire Area Showjumpers Ball returns at Hellaby Hall near Rotherham, tickets available shortly priced at £45 to include a 3 course dinner, wine on the table and entertainment.  Further information with regard to rooms etc will be available shortly.
 

Finally you may have noticed that the South and East Yorkshire Area website has 'disappeared' this is just a temporary measure until we migrate over to the new British Showjumping branding and format.  In the meantime regular updates will appear on the British Showjumping Northern Facebook page and also on the South and West Yorkshire Area (16) Facebook page.
