Northern Just for Schools Riders & Teams Qualified for Nationals

It is great to see the North represented in the Just for Schools Team competition in a very dominated Southern Schools final. Longridge Royal have qualified their team for the 80cm and the 90cm team final at the British National Championships to be held at Stoneleigh next month. Longridge high school were elated to qualify for the National Finals at the Northern Direct Qualifier at Aintree National Show in both the 80cm and 90cm competitions. The Longridge Royal team consisting of Joel Higham, Evie Barton and Rebecca Gibb they were supported on the day by team coach, Susan Dickinson. Double clears from Joel riding Sir Earl Grey and Rebecca riding Carlin Sable Fox ensured the win. The team have only ridden together on three occasions so this was a great achievement. The school have been fully supportive and are looking forward to attending the National Finals while flying the flag for Longridge High School. 

Individual riders representing the North are Issie Thompson riding Silver Grain have qualified for the 70cm and 80cm final, Lauren Coultard has qualified Misty Star in the 70cm and Highfild kerpow in the 70cm and the 80cm final. 

Northern riders contending the 90cm final will be Abigail Leadbetter riding Nice as Pie and Betsy Martin riding Twilight Storm.

Good luck to all the competitiors taking part in the Just For Schools Final and lets hope the Northern riders put up a good fight against the Southern schools.
