North Cumbria held a successful area training day with Tracey Newman in February and are holding a Lecture Demonstration with Simon Buckley and Scott Brash alongside training on 11 April 2012 at Greenlands Equestrian. This exciting event is open to members and non-members at a cost of £15 per ticket in advance (£18 on the door) and tickets are selling fast. We have several dates coming up in the area for mixed shows. In the winter months these continue at Greenlands Equestrian and from April at Murray House Livery with mid week and weekend dates planned. Please see their websites for further details. Ullswater Pony Sports Club is being held on 12^th-13^th May with qualifiers for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival on offer and our popular Area Show is being held on 19-20 May. This show offers both Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival and Royal Highland Qualifier opportunities.

Finally, congratulations to all those competitors whom obtained their Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival qualification early at the Greenlands Equestrian Show on 15 January. Let’s hope this sets the precedence for a successful 2012 season for both juniors and seniors. Good luck to all members from the area committee!
