New Junior Academy Sponsors

Askham Bryan College in Yorkshire and Newton Rigg College in Cumbria are extremely pleased to be sponsoring the British Showjumping’s Yorkshire and Cumbrian Junior Academy’s.

The ongoing development within the equine centre is very exciting and our main aim is to raise the aspirations of our students by working closely with those in the industry.  This means we have a wider route for our students to access employment both here and overseas.

We offer Diploma courses including Level 2 Equine, Level 3 Horse Management, Apprenticeships in Level 2 and 3 Equine-Horse Care.  We also offer a Foundation Degree in Equine Leisure and Event Management also in Equine Sports Management, and an extended Foundation degree in Equine Management, and a Level 6 BSc (Hons) Degree in Equine Management.

We are very lucky to have such a wide variety of horses from happy easy cobs through to a Grand Prix dressage horse and 2* and 3* event horses, therefore we are able to accommodate riders from grass roots to competition level.

We run some fantastic events at both equestrian centres, some of which include training with top trainers, including an ex Olympic rider, British Eventing and British Showjumping Junior Academy’s, and one of the highlights of the year is our super British Eventing One Day Event held at Askham Bryan in October each year.  All of which our students love to get involved in and gain valuable experience.
