IMPORTANT NOTICE
Friday 10 January 2014
There is a confirmed outbreak of Strangles in the Richmond / Catterick Area, where two yards are closed
In addition two other local Stables have taken the decision to close as a precaution
RICHMOND EQUESTRIAN CENTRE DOES NOT HAVE STRANGLES
We have consulted with our Vet and we now recognise that there is an increased risk of Strangles within our locality
In addition , due to the volume of traffic to REC, and the number of competitions at REC, the increased risk is a reality.
We have taken the decision to close the REC ,for 4 weeks as a protection measure with immediate effect.
We believe this to be a prudent, wise and responsible decision for the internal stakeholder’s at REC, the competitors / connections and the wider industry within the NE
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
