Charles Stanley Announced to Sponsor International Puissance
Tuesday 22 February 2011

The International Puissance, notorious for having crowds at the edge of their seat will play a monumental role in this year’s Yorkshire International Showjumping Event.
Sponsored by Charles Stanley, the spectacular walled jump will see riders compete to clear immense heights at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on Saturday 23rd April.
Peter Hurst, Finance Director at Charles Stanley said: “We are delighted to sponsor this exciting class and to be part of such a fantastic new event in Sheffield.
“Many of our clients are passionate about showjumping and to reflect their values we have supported several equestrian events over the years.”
The Yorkshire International Showjumping Event is a three day, CSI*** competition taking place over the Easter weekend (22-24 April).
The current indoor world record for the International Puissance stands at 7ft10in achieved by Franke Sloothaak in 1991.
Peter continued: “Charles Stanley has strong Sheffield roots and can trace its origins back to a banking partnership in the industrial city in 1792. We hope our involvement in the International Puissance will help to raise awareness of the Yorkshire International Showjumping Event.”
Supported by Welcome to Yorkshire, the official tourism agency for Yorkshire, it is hoped the event will attract visitors from all over the UK and competitors worldwide.
