Retirement Congratulations

Houghton Hall EC hosted a retirement party on behalf of Cambridgeshire Area 32 to extend it’s thanks to Bruce Saint who retired as a British Showjumping Judge in November 2013.

Bruce was an active member of British Showjumping for over 40 years both as a competitor and a Judge.  In fact British Showjumping records show that Bruce won the BSJA Members cup class at Mill Lodge on 18th January 1995 riding his chestnut mare Goshawk.   Coincidently Bruce started his judging career at Mill Lodge EC and also at Lordsbridge Arena, The College EC and Houghton Hall EC.  Bruce has also been sponsoring the rosettes at the Cambridgeshire Area 32 annual show in memory of his lovely, but sadly late wife Mary.  This was a great help towards the running costs of the show and Area 32 committee will be eternally grateful to Bruce for this sponsorship.  So now as Bruce turns his attentions to other activities we extend our heartfelt thanks to Bruce for all his efforts in the judging box.  

Without the dedication of Judges such as Bruce there would be no shows for riders to compete at so a huge thanks from all the British Showjumping Eastern region members and best wishes for the future.
