Jessica Howard Success at South View
Monday 22 February 2016
Jessica Howard hit a purple patch at South View at the weekend, taking seven Blue Chip Championship tickets on three ponies, two of which she rode for the first time.
Rocky Robin (pictured), who joined Jessica in July, has qualified for all five of the Blue Chip pony classes, from novice through to the Blue Chip Pro Sparkle JC/JA.
At South View, Rocky won the Horsequest UK Coral, finished second in the Horsequest UK Sapphire and was fourth in the Pro Sparkle JC/JA.
Since August, Rocky, a nine-year-old Connemara gelding by Kilmore Diamond and owned by Audrey Grahame and Claire Darwin, has won nine classes with Jessica and will be aimed at HOYS second rounds this year.
Jessica’s catch rides at the weekend, Susanne Tucker’s Double Trouble II and Zucan V, were also in winning mode despite the fact she was riding them for the first time. The pair took the top two places in the Animo novice and the eight-year-old Double Trouble went on to take fourth in the Sapphire and Coral.
What a weekend, well done Jessica!
