Emily Sandford from Hertfordshire selected for the Second Cohort of the ‘Young Professional Programme’
Monday 23 November 2015
In conjunction with Sport England, British Showjumping is now pleased to reveal that Emily Sandford from Stevenage, Hertfordshire has been selected for the 'Young Professional Programme'.
Emily joins seven other individuals who will be participating in this year long professional development programme which is funded by Sport England and it has been designed to help British Showjumping members further themselves within their chosen equestrian careers, which in Emily’s case is being a Course Builder.
Operating on a flexible basis, the programme will help our members gain specific qualifications such as UK Coaching Certificates (UKCC) and it will also give them the opportunity to gain experience in their specific professions in order for them to develop their own business in a field of their choice. Participants could find themselves gaining hand on experience with a top level Coach or acquiring knowledge and skills from business workshops.
Mirroring last year, the successful applicants are focusing on a mixture of professions which for this year includes Breeding, Coaching, Course Building and Judging.
We wish all of the successful applicants the best of luck throughout the programme and we look forward to watching them develop. Our thanks go to Sport England for their support of this programme.
