Chestor XI claims final KBIS Insurance British Novice Final Qualification

Redpost Showjumping Club hosted the final KBIS Insurance British Novice second round at Redpost Equestrian, nr Totnes, Devon on Sunday. This gave qualified competitors one final chance to qualify for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival.

 

Six combinations that started jumped double clear to make it in to the final jump off, all competing for the top spot and qualification. Third into the arena was local rider twenty two year old Ben Tuff. Riding his own seven year old dark bay mare Ben jumped the first clear of the jump off in a time of 42.20 seconds to take the lead. Unfortunately this was short lived once twenty three year old Cornwall based Amanda Cole entered the arena. Riding her own six year old grey gelding Chestor XI Amanda put in a very quick clear coming home in 36.06 seconds.

 

Last to go in the final jump off was Teignmouth based James Johnson riding Kaylie Perring’s six year old bay gelding Franco V. Although they left all the fences up to jump clear they were just off the mark, coming home in 38.15 seconds and taking second place.
