Bryony Ward International Experience Programme

Bedfordshire's Bryony Ward was one of the riders selected to compete at Bonheiden as part of the International Experience Programme.  Below is a report from Bryony on her experiences out there!

 

'We took ,7yr old Disney KJ (owned by myself my Physio Elisabeth Deeks and Gill Benwell), 16 yr old Mill Hollow Clouding (owned by Elizabeth Hudson) and 7yr old Hay Que Fabulosa (owned by trainer Rowan Willis and myself)..

We left at 6.30am Wednesday morning and got to Bonheiden, Belgium at 4pm.

The horses travelled great, the trot up was Thursday morning and all horses passed the vet inspection before the jumping started in the afternoon. 

Disney KJ was clear and placed the first day in the 7yr old class and had 8 faults. The final day we were the only GBR clear in the 7yr old final and just had some faults in a big jump off. It was the biggest he had jumped and is looking bright for the future! 

Hay Que Fabulosa and Mill Hollow Clouding both jumped good but just had unlucky fences.

Corrine Bracken and Matt Lanni's help with all the horses was brilliant and the show was a lovely experience! We learnt so much and we are looking foward to going abroad again'.
