Kerry Brian Hollowell and horse Little Rock II, currently head the British Showjumping East Midlands Region Bronze League, with 131 points.
Based in Towcester, Northamptonshire, 57 year old Kerry is thrilled to see himself at the top of the leader board. Riding his 17 year old gelding; Little Rock II, Kerry concentrates on keeping him fit and happy with plenty of hacking and regular time off. Kerry mucks-out and rides Little Rock II every day before work in order to ‘keep him out of trouble’.
Further achievements by the duo include; competing at the Hickstead Derby Meeting and at the All England Jumping Championships at Hickstead earlier this year. Kerry commented; “We have a combined age of 74, so not bad for two old boys!”
The Bronze League run by British Showjumping offers riders the chance to compete in classes ranging from 85cm to 1.10m. Riders are divided into regional leagues where they can collect league points in order to qualify for the Bronze League Championships at The Horse of the Year Show.
