Officials Training Day - Northern Region

We are pleased to confirm that British Showjumping have organised an Officials Training Day for all Northern Officials (EM & WM Officials are invited to attend if it is nearer for them than their allocated training day).  The day has been organised as part of the Officials Retention Criteria, and all officials are encouraged to attend.  The day is designed to be an informal and informative day with subjects including: -

  • British Showjumping updates
  • Courses and principles of a good & safe course
  • Group Work
    • Judges
      • Exam Questions
      • Scenarios
      • Good & Bad Practice Judging Sheets
      • Rules Questions
      • Timing Equipment
      • Computer Software
    • Course Designers
      • Course Walk
      • Specific Class queries
      • Principles of Course Designing
    • These subjects are rough ideas and are still TBC
  • Q&A session

 

Details of the day, including date and venue are below: -

 

  • Date - Monday 09th March 2015
  • Venue - Aintree International Equestrian Centre, L9 5AS
  • Timings - 0930 start (Tea & Coffee from 0900) until 1600 approx.
  • Cost - £5 for attending payable on booking. Payment can be made either via Members Online or by Phone once on the members account

 

To book onto the course, Officials are asked to contact Robert Massey-Ellis on 02476 698803 or Rob.Ellis@BritishShowjumping.co.uk advising they are interested in attending the day.  Further details will then be sent nearer the time and once details are confirmed.
