East Midlands academies!
Wednesday 08 August 2012

It has been a busy week so far for academies in the East Midlands!
On Monday, 16 riders attended the Notts/Lincs academy training at Milton Equestrian Centre. The day included lessons with British Showjumping coach Selina Cawkwell, a talk on Emergency Equine First Aid with Scarsdale Vets, a quiz and a session on the NAF 5* booklets.
Yesterday, the Leicestershire and Rutland academy met at Fir Tree Stud for lessons with British Showjumping coach Michael Jones, they also had sessions on the riders fitness with Chloe Alexander and a BBQ!
(Pictured are some of the Leicestershire academy riders in circuit training, which included exercises to help with their riding)
On Friday the Northants/Cambs academy will be having sessions with British Showjumping Coach, Mia Korenika (who will just have returned from her volunteering role at the Olympics!) at Houghton Hall.
If you are under 21 and would like to be involved with the academies, please contact me on ruth.tyler@britishshowjumping.co.uk and I will put you in touch with your nearest academy co-ordinater.
