Congratulations to Fahrran Griffiths

Congratulations to Fahrran Griffiths who has gained two double clears! Aged 13 and having lived in Spain from 2006-2009, Fahrran who is based in Leicestershire only started riding regularly in 2009 and joined British Showjumping in December 2010.

Fahrran did her first affiliated competition at Markfield where she had a single pole down in the jump off. After the snow at the beginning of 2011 Fahrran had a couple of falls at competitions. Fahrrans mum, Julie said ‘she wasn’t scared about getting back on and jumping but was frustrated about falling off!- She’s heard all the jokes about super glue and Velcro that you can chuck at her!’

Finally Fahrran managed to stay in her saddle and gained her double clear at Arena UK in March. Fahrran also recently joined in the Di Lampard clinic at Vale View and is now keen to get involved with junior academy training.

Apparently while most children of Fahrrans age read Tracey Beaker she reads the British Showjumping year book and if she isn't jumping the ponies she makes the dog jump!
