Academy Training - 2 Day Training Extravaganza – 21-22 February, Goggs Farm, Northamptonshire

 

Draft timetable:

Monday morning - joint talk and interactive demonstration by two physiotherapists, looking at rider balance, posture and core stability.

 

Monday afternoon - working in groups of 4, accredited coach, Mia Korenika will train riders to warm up correctly before a competition, and provide 'on the ground' training for grooms.

 

Tuesday Morning - Talk and demonstration on competition timings and rules plus practical demonstration of timing equipment given by British Showjumping Judge and official Ann Martin. Talk and demonstration on course design and course building given by British Showjumping course builder Peter Martin. (A course will be designed and built ready for the afternoon session Tuesday afternoon) - Course walking and ridden training over the course, followed by an opportunity to jump under competition conditions"
 

Numbers for this event are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Cost for British Showjumping members for 2 days = £70 including lunch (£35/day). Cost for Non British Showjumping members for 2 days = £80 including lunch (£40/day).

Riding will take place on both days. Some overnight stabling will be available if required. Limited space for overnight parking.
