William Whitaker wins the CSI 2*Keysoe 1.45m Grand Prix

Yesterday saw Huddersfield’s William Whitaker partnering his uncle Michael’s 10 year-old chestnut geldling Balibu take the top spot in the 1.45m Grand Prix held as part of the CSI 2* International Show hosted at the College Equestrian, Keysoe.
There were only six double clears produced with William and Balibu delivering theirs in a time of 33.79 seconds giving them over a second in hand over their nearest rivals.
Surrey’s William Funnell with Julie Slade’s 12 year-old chestnut gelding Billy Angelo finished in second place after leaving all the fences standing in a time of 34.86 seconds.
Buckinghamshire based Irish showjumper Trevor Breen finished in third place riding his own 11 year-old chestnut stallion Oldtown KC. This combination crossed the finish line in a time of 35.27 seconds.
