Team GB Squad for La Baule Announced

Rob Hoekstra, the World Class Showjumping Performance Manager has announced his squad of five that will be travelling to La Baule in France for the first of the CSIO 5* Furisiyya Nations Cup competitions.
The FEI 5* show which takes place at the picturesque seaside resort of La Baule takes place between the 16 – 19th May 2013. The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday 17th May at 13:10 hrs local time. The Grand Prix commences at 12 noon local time on Sunday 19th May.
The squad selected as as follows:
Scott Brash MBE, London 2012 Olympic Team Gold Medallist from Peebleshire with his Olympic horse Hello Sanctos, a 13 year-old bay gelding owned by Lady Kirkham and Lord & Lady Harris.
Tina Fletcher from Farringdon, Oxfordshire with Hello Sailor, a 14 year-old gelding owned by Lady Pauline Harris. Tina and Hello Sailor were the travelling reserve horse/rider combination for the London 2012 Olympics.
Ben Maher MBE, London 2012 Olympic Team Gold Medallist from Hertfordshire with Jane Clark’s 11 year-old grey mare Cella with whom he has had considerable success with in recent months in Florida. Cella has only recently arrived in Great Britain and will be making her first appearance on a British team.
Nick Skelton OBE, London 2012 Olympic Team Gold Medallist from Warwickshire. Nick will be riding his Olympic horse Big Star, a 10 year-old bay stallion owned by Beverley Widdowson.
Robert Smith from Warwickshire will be riding his own 10 year-old bay mare Voila, a mare which made her debut on top level Nations Cup teams last year .
