Results from the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships 2015

Following five busy days of exciting competition at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships, the new Champions of 2015 have now been crowned. The Championships took place at Aintree Equestrian Centre during the 18th – 22nd November and the results were as follows:

Championship regular Monica Ballard from Sittingbourne, Kent won the National Amateur 0.85m Championship on board her faithful 17 year-old mare My Amazing Grace.

The National Amateur 0.95m Championship was taken by Charlotte Goodwin from Foston, Derbyshire and she took the top spot with Regal Clover, a 17 year-old bay mare owned by Julie Goodwin.

The winner of the National Amateur 1.05m Championship was Cheryl Healey from Shifnal, Shropshire on her own 14 year-old bay mare, Anna Ci.

Katie Shaw from Great Haywood, Staffordshire held on to her National Amateur 1.10m Championship title, winning it this time on Fools Business, a 14 year-old roan gelding owned by Emma Sargeant.

The Minor Veteran Riders Championship was won Ian Wynne from Llangollen, Wrexham on board Don Douglas, a 15 year-old dark bay gelding owned by Ann Wolley Dod.

Norman Proffitt from Cannock, Staffordshire and Nina Emery’s 13 year-old dark brown gelding Valentino XIV retained the Major Veteran Riders Championship that they won last year.
