Rachael Connor Takes Top Spot in the Horseware Bronze League Qualifier at Aintree International Equestrian Centre

Continuing her winning streak, Rachael Connor from Rossendale, Lancashire used her final draw to maximum effect, taking the top spot in the Horseware Bronze League qualifier on board B Valeree at Aintree Equestrian Centre, Liverpool.

Seventy-two riders chased the three qualifying places, which takes them forward to the Horseware Bronze League semi-final in August and these were whittled down to twenty against the clock.

Long-time leader Emily Morris from Prees, Shropshire had led from first draw on her own Ultimo x Epilot 11-year-old gelding Ultimatum II, but Rachael had other ideas.  Taking the optimum shortest route, she sliced 0.17 sec off the time to claim victory on her Larino x Andiamo 10-year-old mare B Valeree.

Sarah Hutton from Keswick, Cumbria and her Haarlem sired 15-year-old mare, Urminka took the third and final qualifying place.
