Pony Club Members to be acknowledged at the British Showjumping National Championships

In collaboration with The Pony Club, British Showjumping will be recognising Pony Club Members’ successes at the British Showjumping National Championships for the first time this year.

This prestigious event will take place at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre, Stoneleigh Park, from 11-16 August 2015 and is set to host world-class riders battling for the top spots and the chance to qualify for Horse of the Year Show.

The highest placed Pony Club Member competing in the following Finals will be awarded a Pony Club rosette and sash to honour their achievement:

•    Pony British Novice Championship
•    Pony Discovery Championship
•    Pony Bronze League Finals for 128cm/138cm/148cm
•    Pony Silver League Finals for 128cm/138cm/148cm

In order to qualify for a rosette and sash, riders competing in the classes listed above will be asked to identify themselves as Pony Club Members on their entry forms.

James Loffet, Chairman of Pony Club Showjumping said "The Pony Club is thrilled to be involved with the British Showjumping National Championships, and this new initiative will recognise just some of the successful Pony Club Members competing and winning at a high level. Our Members gain a competitive edge through the world class training provided by The Pony Club, and we want to start promoting their achievements.” James continued to say The Pony Club is excited to be working with British Showjumping, and he is looking forward to continuing to build on the partnership between the two organisations.

Pony Club Members who would like to step up to affiliated competition can now become a British Showjumping member for the exclusive price of £54 for twelve months. Members of British Showjumping get the opportunity to compete within a progressive competition over professionally built courses and members also get access to the superb academy structure and training programmes.

Justine Naylor, British Showjumping National Director of Sport commented “We are delighted to be working with The Pony Club on this exciting initiative as part of the ever strengthening relationship between us. The British Showjumping National Championships will provide the perfect platform for recognising The Pony Club Members’ achievements and we are looking forward to a good few days of competition.”
