PHILLIP MILLER & UNIVEAU WIN THE FIRST OF THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL STAIRWAY’S

Phillip Miller with Diana & Pennie Cornish’s 11-year-old bay stallion Univeau won the first of the International Stairways for 2012 at Devon County Show yesterday, Thursday 17th May.

Course Builder, Paul Connor who was building his first Int’l Stairway at Devon County had set a testing course for the eighteen starters.   With Tina Fletcher and Hello Unique who is owned by Lady Pauline Harris also going clear alongside Dale Burnham and Charlotte Clarke’s horse Velvet it was just three competitors that managed to jump without penalties in the first round.

It was Phillips double clear with Univeau, who is by Numero Uno, in a time that couldn’t be beaten that relegated Tina’s double clear into second place. Dale Burnham having incurred 4faults in the jump off slotted into third place with the remaining places taken by those who had incurred faults in the first round.

The International Stairway continues it’s circuit of some of the largest County Show’s in the UK at Suffolk Show (7-8th June) before moving onto South of England Show (7-9th June).
