National Showjumping Returns to The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show!

If you’re a fan of world-class showjumping, international dressage and high-end shopping and dining, you won’t want to miss the 2018 Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show.

And back by popular demand the show will once again feature a National Ring with showjumping classes and a host of new and exciting competitions over the five days.

The 2018 event is taking place from June 13 to 17 in the stunning grounds of Bolesworth Castle near Tattenhall, Chester and tickets go on sale from 18 December, with some fantastic Early Bird deals.

With two fantastic Andrews Bowen arenas and a third newly drained grass arena, running alongside the lake, this will allow the return of senior British Showjumping classes providing the opportunity for riders with novice and up-and-coming horses to compete at this premier and much-anticipated show.

Said show president, Nina Barbour: “The national ring was missed so much last year that we felt we had to bring it back to the show and hope that the constant improvements to the infrastructure can stand whatever the British weather throws at us.

“Of course glorious sunshine is what we all want but as ever we have to be prepared and we do our best at all times to put on an event of the highest calibre that caters for as many riders and competitors that we can accommodate.”

Following its’ huge success in 2017, the Wednesday and Thursday, will see top-level dressage return with the Bolesworth CDI*** attracting leading riders to the magnificent Bolesworth Estate.

For 2018 the ground-breaking Bolesworth Elite Auction and the Puissance will be held on the Thursday evening, while Friday and Saturday will play host to two fantastic ‘party nights’ with DJ’s and bands.

Also new for 2018 will be the return of a high calibre invitational Eventing Grand Prix, which will take place in the Main International Arena as the feature class on the Friday evening.  We will also be seeing some thrills and spills with the addition of a Hunt relay, with qualifying rounds on the Saturday and the final in the Main ring to finish off the show on Sunday evening.

Other features will include an extensive retail village, and a huge range of family entertainment in our new improved lifestyle zone over the weekend of the show.
