GB Team arrive at the FEI Veteran European Championships

The Veteran European Championships kick off in Hoogboom-Kapellen, Belgium tomorrow when the horse inspections commence prior to the opening competitions which start on Thursday.
Friday will see ten Nations competing for the Team medals on offer whilst Sunday hosts the Individual Championships.
The horses and riders selected to represent Great Britain, accompanied by Chef d’Equipe Anne Newbery, are as follows:
Lorraine Allan, aged 48 from Jersey with her own 10 year-old bay gelding Zorba II.
Anne Berry, aged 60 from Folkestone in Kent with her own 13 year-old dark brown gelding Urio.
Lynda Birke, aged 66 from Market Drayton, Shropshire with her own 14 year-old brown gelding Kilrush Road.
Sally Swiers, aged 49 from Thirsk, North Yorkshire with her own 7 year-old chestnut gelding Millfield Long Socks.
Ian Wynne, aged 50 from Llangollen in Clwyd, Wales with the 14 year-old dark bay gelding Don Douglas owned by Ann Wolley Dod.
The Veteran Championships take place every two years and are for riders aged 45 years and over who compete across courses of a maximum 1.20m in height. For those wishing to follow the championships and for results once the event are underway please visit www.aia-belgium.com.
