Ella Dalton wins the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Petley Wood Equestrian Centre

Ella Dalton from Tunbridge Wells, Kent landed the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round win at Petley Wood Equestrian Centre in East Sussex on Sunday with Michelle Burnett’s 11 year-old British-bred Lucky Break.

Forty-nine combinations came forward with the hopes of gaining a qualifying ticket to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August. Thirty-eight went through to the second round which was whittled down to twenty-four in the final round; eighteen of those produced a treble clear.

Seventeen year-old Ella utilised all of the short cuts that course designer Keith Bristow had put on offer and Lucky Break answered every question crossing the finish line in 32.21 seconds. Their closest rivals were fifteen year-old Elloise Smit aboard Deborah Smit’s 9 year-old British-bred mare Quainton Sapphire, they stopped the clock just 0.4 seconds behind posting a time of 32.61 seconds. Third spot was claimed by Alex Bishop and NPS Fallon, a British-bred mare owned by Sharlotte O’Prey, they crossed the finish line in 34.50 seconds

With another fifteen combinations also achieving a treble clear, a total of eighteen combinations now go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
